Humanitarian Relief Efforts

Gaza, Palestine

The war on Gaza has taken upwards of 35,000 lives and put many more in grave danger of starvation, exposure, and infection from injuries. Thousands of people remain buried under rubble. The Israeli army has destroyed nearly every hospital and university in the Gaza strip.

Israel’s occupation of Palestine has been ongoing for decades. This recent uptick in violence is only the latest in a long-term attempt to uproot Palestinians from their land. It is more important than ever to remain engaged and to fight for the equal rights of everyone in this part of the world.

My research at New York University in Tel Aviv introduced me to the ongoing issue of settlement. Since I moved out of Israel in 2020, I have been searching for ways to support the Palestinian people still living under occupation. Since the beginning of the current war on Gaza in 2023, calls for humanitarian aid have skyrocketed.

Cora’s Wine Club is organizing a donation effort. All donations will be distributed across the five charities offering humanitarian aid listed below. If you give more than $50, you’ll receive a free copy of my book, Drinkers with a Religion Problem, which explores the role of winemaking in Israeli settlement.

If you have another charity or foundation you’d like to donate to, or that you think we should be aware of, please reach out. We’re happy to expand our list of charities and recipients.
